West African Examina-tion Council (WAEC) has released its November/December 2009 West African Senior Secondary Certificate Exami-nation (WASSCE/GCE) results.
According to WAEC of 57,792 candidates, representing 16.87 per cent, were withheld for their involvement in examination malpractice.
Out of the 342,443 candidates that sat for the examination, he said 316,075 candidates, representing 92.30 per cent, had their results fully processed, while 26,368, representing 7.70 per cent, had few of their subjects still being processed, as various errors and omissions are being sorted out by the council.
Also, Of the 265,335 candidates, representing 77.48 per cent, had two credits and above; 230,335 (67.2 per cent) had three credits and above; and 192,806 (56.30 per cent) got four credits and above. Also, 151, 919 candidates (44.36 per cent) obtained five credits and above, while 108,574 (31.70 per cent) obtained six credits and above.
The WAEC/GCE November/December Results are now available on the WAEC website: www.waecdirect.org within 24 hours.

It is customary 2 greet de elders of de nation , So I dere 4 say greetins 2 de WAEC BOARD, I have many questions on my mind 2 ask de waec officials but first of all WHY? De massive failure of students dat wrote de waec exams, dis is unfair 2 see school students go frustrated. Imagine de thousands of students dat wrote de waec examination whole 75% of them failed, meen dis is incredible 2 believe, after JAMB have frustrated many students 4 not entry de university b4 de federal govt intervene 2 help now again WAEC. Secondly WHY? Is dat still yet most of de results are not yet released especially de SOUTH-SOUTH what is de problem again, You people should help your children, because we are your children about de situation on ground please, you guys are our parents, teachers, mentors etc dat always adverse us dat we should go 2 school dat education is de key 2 de future but with de failures of results and seized results how do you guys want us 2 be encourage dam being frustrated, We as a students we are trying our best 2 do our best in school and 2 pass de prescribed examinations, but is seems our efforts are not good enough 2 you guys . also you people should remember dat when we cried out 2 de public you guys should not complain dat students are causing commotion, lastly I’m begging de WAEC BOARD and de FEDERAL GOVT 2 temper justice with mercy 4 de seek our 2orowom and de next generation unborn.

Look unto us as your children,as the future Nigerians,as teary children of same mother Nigeria and of same grandmother Africa.Cast sore eyes away from ancestry, as our school has been endangered by such corrupt name thriving from aged history. Hence, our proprietor and our image.
Voices of dilettante students wailing for writing with no help;vowing no sibling, friends nor relatives will ever come to such school again.So pathetic that we turned victims of “withheld” after all we have suffered: the competent supervision and invigilation,the interview on mathematics day with the personalities that followed, the fear and threat of cancellation, the aggressive nature of our principal unto us in relation for we to condone and hate examination malpractice.
All this we passed through yet we being treated like this,’ we’ the student of Fountain Comprehensive College Enugu of Mr. Ogba Benjamin; How? as most students’ results are being withheld.

Is waec nov/dec 2010 released. Because rumours is out there everywhere, which made some people confused. Any script or objective paper that was signed with blue ink is proper besides anyhow it may be signed, is signature of supervisor, which is generally acceptable by waec officials. Let them have there result as soon as possible. Thanks.

I went to the WAEC office to coreect a mistake that was on my photocard, I mean just a very little error where I mistakenly filled in 1998 for 1988, you won’t believe that the the receptionist, a supposed female police officer, denied me entrance into the office of the official who was concerned with such cases. I felt very sad, because I had spent up to three months preparing thoroughly for the exams. I don’t mind writing the exams again, but the question I want to ask is – why are WAEC candidates being treated with such a level of calousity. we don’t deserve this please and I don’t desrve it. So, you see I’m not only disturbed about how good or bad my result will be, but also about a wrong input of data in my registration form, which I believe could have been easily corrected. I’m being held down in a higher institution that I should have graduated from last year because I’m required to present this particular result to the school. Please WAEC, what’s the assurance that I am going to graduate this year?

Jehovah God alone knows how much I and many more innocent people read for this exam. Though, it is very obvious that waec officials are imperfect and cannot see everything, everyone. But I wish to use this blog to appeal to them to consider these innocent victims. I worked very hard to pass. I was not part of the exam mal-practice. In fact, I detest it.
