National Intelligence Agency (NIA) of Nigeria is a member of the intelligence and security community of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and is responsible for foreign intelligence and counter intelligence. It is the responsibility of the NIA to procure timely intelligence from the external domain to enhance Government foreign policy formulation and action, effective governance and national development.

- SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING Geo-Sciences, Environmental Science, Physics/Nuclear Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Cartography, Bio-chemistry, Statistics, Mathematics, Maritime Science, Agricultural Science.
- FOREIGN LANGUAGES: French, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, Russian, Arabic, German.
- POLITICAL SCIENCE, LIBERAL ARTS and HUMANITIES: Economics, Statistics, Geography, Law, International Relations and Diplomacy.
- A University Degree (1st Class or 2nd Class Upper) or a 2nd Class Lower with a Masters Degree.

Candidates should not be more than thirty (30) years old and must possess verifiable birth certificates. A sworn affidavit is not acceptable. Candidates must have completed their National Youth Service (NYSC). Knowledge of a second foreign language will be an advantage.
