According to the bible, if your eyes will lead you to sin, pluck it out! and that is exactly what Egyptian, Ali Afifi did only he didn’t pluck out his eyes but cut off his hands from his wrists. Ali took the severe decision following his inability to stop stealing and the feeling of guilt that comes over him after every act of theft.
In a situation he described as a ‘battle pitched’ against the devil, Afifi, 27, went to the main train station in the western Egyptian town of Tanta four years ago and waited for the train to approach where he was before dipping his hands under its wheels as hundreds of other train passengers watched in horror.
Following the shock of what happened, Afifi’s father sent him to an assylum. Following his release, Afifi sought the help of a local Islamic scholar to assist in chopping off the other wrist but the man refused his citing the fact that he was not a ruler nor in a position to make that decision. Rather, the Islamic scholar advised him to repent and seek God’s help.
Left with no other choice, Afifi decided to carry out the act by himself. According to him (Afifi), “when I was finally released from the assylum a few months ago, I cut the other hand off to make sure I’ll never steal again.”
Yes he did according 2 d biblical injunction dt says dat if it z any part of ur body or its equivalence dat wil mak u 2 sin cut it off.Bt on a mor serious note it takes d brave and d strong 2 do xactly wot dis young man did o.
That was not what the bible meant…..to cut off means to say NO to sin and refuse to obey your lust …..

My point of view om ds matter is dat it ain’t dt jesus wantd us to cut any part of our bodies,bcos d bodies re not the ones commiting d sin.wat actually is is d mind and until u’ll give all it takes with patience as d spirip of God will be teaching u den will u stop doing dose fings dat get u frustrated.diggedness is a key dat’s y jesus talkd abt doing anyfing(like even pluckin ur eyes)wat is important is not the physical cutting but d duggedness of d heart to get rid of dose fings.

What a brave man? But that is not the teaching of the bible pls.the bible expects you to avoid that thing that causes you to sin and not to physically cut off any part of the body that leads you to sin.
