The unfortunate incident happened today around 8am at CMS, just by BRT Bus stop. Fortunately for the passengers, no one was injured as they were able to disembark and run away before the bus was completely engulfed in a ball of flame.
Eye witnesses said LASTMA officials got to the scene about three minutes after the occurrence and they maintained free flow of traffic and contacted the fire service immediately. But till the bus burned out, nobody from the fire service was seen.
Lucky escape you can say.
